It’s a question we get asked all the time – which printer should I buy? And then you go down the rabbit hole!! There are actually many factors which you have to consider and it is not such a straight forward answer.
Give some thought to what you want to print and how often you are going to print. By this I mean whether you need to print in black and white or colour. How often are you going to print? This is a crucial question and will determine which printing device is suitable for
your needs. Printing often and in colour, the inkjet printers are the best option. Heaps of different models with many features. If you’re intending to print occasionally and don’t need colour, a mono laser printer is a better choice for you. Laser printers use toner cartridges which contain a powder. This means the printer doesn’t have to be used frequently as the print head will not get clogged as happens in inkjet printers if they are not used regularly.
This brings me to the following laser printer manufactured by Brother. It is my top pick for reliability and black and white printing with no fuss. A printer when you need it with no bells and whistles. Affordably priced with the choice of two toner cartridges. A standard size and optional high yield toner if you intend to print more often. It also uses a drum cartridge which needs to be replaced occasionally. You can also use a generic toner cartridge to keep printing costs down even further. This model is a great choice for the home.
