Installing Brother LC436 Cartridges:

  1. Open the ink cartridge cover.
  2. Shake the black cartridge only (15 times horizontally).
  3. Follow on-screen instructions to install each cartridge.
  4. The machine will prime the ink system (one-time process).

Checking Print Quality:

  1. Follow on-screen instructions to print a Print Quality Check Sheet.
  2. Evaluate the quality of the printed colours. Initiate cleaning if necessary.

Adjusting Print Head Alignment (recommended):

  1. Follow on-screen instructions to print an adjustment sheet.
  2. Place the sheet on the scanner glass, aligning the black circle mark.
  3. Follow on-screen instructions to complete the alignment process.

Replacing Ink Cartridges:

  2. Open the ink cartridge cover and press the indicated lever to release the old cartridge.
  3. Remove the new cartridge from its packaging and avoid touching the electronic chip.

  6. Push the “PUSH” area until the cartridge clicks into place.
  7. Close the ink cartridge cover.
