Frequently Asked Questions

Are the Shokz OpenFit Air earbuds open-ear headphones?
Yes. OpenFit Air uses Shokz’s open-ear design, so the earbuds do not need to sit inside and seal the ear canal like conventional in-ear earbuds.

Can I still hear my surroundings while wearing them?
The open-ear design is intended to maintain greater awareness of surrounding sounds while you listen. Environmental awareness will still depend on playback volume and conditions around you.

How long does the battery last?
OpenFit Air provides up to 6 hours of playback from a single charge and up to 28 hours total when used with the charging case.

Are the Shokz OpenFit Air suitable for exercise?
They feature an IP54 rating for dust and sweat resistance, while the Shokz Air-Earhook is designed to provide a steady fit during everyday activities and exercise.

Do the OpenFit Air earbuds have noise cancellation?
They feature an ENC 4-microphone system for clearer calls. Because OpenFit Air is specifically designed to keep your ears open to surrounding sounds, this should not be confused with Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) that blocks outside sound during music playback.

How much do the earbuds weigh?
Each OpenFit Air earbud weighs approximately 8.7g.

Do they come with a charging case?
Yes. A charging case and USB-C charging cable are included.
