This next point is becoming more crucial every year as our printers have more features and connection options. When you use genuine canon printer cartridges you can install security and firmware updates without any issue. We all are aware of security updates for our phones, laptops, computers and other devices – but sometimes the printer gets overlooked, especially in a business setting. It’s really important to keep devices up to date if your device is on a network and can be accessed remotely. Security is a must. When an update is available, you want to install so your device is secure. Using genuine canon inks means you install any updates when they are available without any problems. Sometimes when you use generic or compatible inks and you install an update, your printer will then not print and the generic or cheap cartridges will not be recognised. Compatible ink cartridge manufacturers do their best up keep chips updated, but in reality it is just not possible. Using genuine aleviates this issue.
It’s really easy to find the right cartridges for your printers. Use our handy ‘Search by Printer‘ page. First you will need to find either your printer machine model number or your cartridge number.
